About us: High Points was founded in 1984 by Sanjiv Saran,
a veteran of the Indian Tourism Industry who has traveled overland and trekked in
most parts of India and Nepal. High Points began operations in New Delhi with a
strong, enthusiastic and imaginative team of trip managers. Over the years, this
team has grown. Today, High Points operates trips for several thousand visitors
from all over the world. Other companies in the High Points group also operate trips
to Africa, Thailand,Vietnam, Tibet, Mongolia, China and Indonesia.
Our Customers: High Points caters to tourists from America,
all the European countries, Japan and Australia. Approximately 50% of our customers
enjoy the classic "sight-seeing " trips.Others take a mix of adventure
and soft-adventure trips, from Himalayan treks and full-scale climbing expeditions
to deluxe Air-Safaris by private aircraft. Clients range from the Spanish Army to
Hollywood celebrities.All clients avail an extensive infrastructure geared for personalized
yetimmediate response, even in remote areas. For this reason, High Points has also
been entrusted by international travel insurance companies toprovide emergency medical
assistance and evacuation services to their clients.
Our Trip Managers: Within India, Nepal and Bhutan, every
group trip is set-up and escorted by a Trip Manager from the High Points head office
in India. High Points is directly responsible for all ground arrangements. Our Trip
Managers are college graduates, speak English, and are fun to be with. They are
fond of the areas they travel, know them well and are extremely considerate of local
sensitivities. They strive to make each trip a memorable experience of India, not
just a study of ancient art or architecture. High Points trip managers may also
be requested to escort private trips.
